Kidnapped RCCG pastor rescued, says Oyo Govt.

The Oyo State Government announced the safe rescue of Pastor Olugbenga Olawore of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), following reports of his kidnapping.

Prince Dotun Oyelade, the Commissioner for Information in Oyo State, made the revelation, assuring citizens that the state’s security apparatus is fully functional and committed to their safety.

Oyelade emphasized the government’s vigilance in monitoring and addressing security challenges within the state’s borders, ensuring swift action in times of crisis.

The media reported an incident on the Lanlate-Eruwa road at the Maya axis over the weekend, involving Pastor Olawore and several others.

The Commissioner underscored the collaborative efforts between the state government, the Commissioner of Police, Bola Hamzat, and various security agencies, highlighting their dedication to safeguarding lives and property.

Oyelade reaffirmed Oyo State’s status as one of the most peaceful states in the federation, despite occasional security incidents.
