In a decisive move to stabilise Nigerian football, the Bureau of the FIFA Council has approved a normalisation committee to manage the Nigeria Football Federation pending fresh elections into its executive committee.
The NFF Communications Department disclosed the decision through a letter signed by FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström and addressed to Emmanuel Ikpeme interim General Secretary of the NFF obtained by PerSecondNews.
Committee members will be jointly appointed by FIFA and the Confederation of African Football as soon as possible, with the body set to complete its duties no later than May 31, 2027.
The committee will oversee the federation’s affairs until it fully discharges its assigned responsibilities ahead of the stipulated deadline.
