In a fresh twist, Nigerian music superstar Davido may have found himself entangled in a legal battle with former NFF chairman, Amaju Pinnick, who has filed a lawsuit against the singer over an alleged breach of contract.

Pinnick’s is demanding a staggering N2.3 billion as compensation.

The suit is sequel to Davido’s absence at the highly-anticipated event — “Warri Again Concert”, which was organized by Brownhill Investment company, owned by Amaju Pinnick.

According to court documents obtained by Per Second News, Pinnick’s company allegedly paid Davido a sum of N70 million and an additional 18,000 dollars to secure the services of a private jet for the artist and his team to transport them to the concert venue in Delta and back to Lagos.

Pinnick alleged that Davido was reminded of the event just one week before the scheduled date and had been paid in full.

However, Davido and his team failed to honour their obligation by not appearing at the concert.

In response to the alleged breach of contract, Pinnick has sought an injunction from the court, seeking to prohibit Davido from performing at any show in Nigeria until he refunds the sum he was purportedly paid for the Warri event.

This legal action comes on the heels of another lawsuit against the popular musician.

Abu Salami, a businessman, recently initiated legal proceedings against Davido, claiming that the artist had reneged on a contract worth N218 million.

Persecondnews reports that neither Davido nor his team has reacted to the suits.
