Iperu community, the country home of Ogun Governor, Dapo Abiodun, was overcome with grief on Friday as 32-year-old man, David Shodola, severed an 84-year-old man, Alfred Opadipe’s head.

The news of the ghastly incident sent shock waves through the Remo North council area of the state.

In a swift operation following a tipoff, operatives led by the Divisional Police Officer swooped on the area to arrest the murder suspect.

On sighting the police, Shodola put up a violent resistance, wielding a machete.

In the process, the “mentally challenged” man was neutralized as he was said to have violently resisted arrest and attacked police officers with the machete.
