Poll results: Hoodlums torch high court building in Ebonyi, documents, valuables destroyed

Few hours after the governorship and House of Assembly polls results were announced, hoodlums have set fire to the State High Court at Owutu-Edda in Afikpo South council area of Ebonyi State.

The incident occurred on Tuesday evening as the political thugs invaded the court in large numbers and set it ablaze.

No police reaction or statement on the arson yet.

Confirming the incident, the court Registrar, Mrs Oluchi Uduma, said the entire court building, documents and other valuables were completely burnt.

Mr Chima Nkama, the Chairman of Afikpo South Local Government Area, who was among early callers, said the incident had been reported to the police.
