Lagos Police Commissioner Hakeem Odumosu, has disclosed that three out of the five students of Dowen College, Lekki, Lagos, mentioned by the late Sylvester Oromoni are currently being interrogated by the police over their involvement in his death.

According to him, two of the senior students are currently at large.

The CP added that the school principal, housemasters, and other officials of the Lekki-based school are also assisting the police with information, as the Command has launched a full-scale probe into the circumstances leading to the death of Oromoni on November 30, 2021.

Odumosu said the Command is set to go for the post mortem of the body in Delta state to ascertain the cause of death.

“Police authorities in both Lagos and Delta States are keenly interested in the outcome of the investigations to unravel the mystery behind Oromoni’s death.”

Twelve-year-old Oromoni Jnr died on November 30, 2021, from injuries he sustained after he was allegedly tortured by some senior students of the school for refusing to join a cult, Persecondnews earlier reported.

Recall that before his death, the boardinghouse student had mentioned the names of five senior students allegedly responsible for the injuries he sustained when he was attacked at the Dowen College.

The hashtag #JusticeForSylvester has been trending since the student’s death as his death has continued to attract widespread condemnation across the social media platforms.
