Nigerian comedian and skit maker Broda Shaggi has recounted how he was hit by a stray bullet while returning to Lagos with his crew after an activation.

The entertainer, whose real name is Samuel Animashaun Perry, narrated how a routine journey turned frightening when traffic forced them to slow down before the shooting incident occurred.

Recounting the experience, Shaggi said he and his crew had completed the activation and were heading back to Lagos when they encountered traffic.

“We had gone for an activation and we had concluded it. We were on our way back to Lagos, but there was traffic and it forced everyone to slow down,” he recounted.

According to him, the situation suddenly took a disturbing turn when he heard an unusual sound, followed by an unexpected silence.

“Suddenly, I heard a noise and everywhere was silent,” he said.

Shaggi said he instinctively touched his hip and discovered that he had been hit by a bullet.

“I touched my hips and discovered that I had been hit,” he recounted, describing the moment he realised he had sustained a gunshot injury.

PerSecondNews recalls that the incident occurred on March 9, 2026, according to the comedian, whose prolonged absence from social media and public engagements had sparked concern among fans and colleagues.

News of the shooting first emerged in March, with reports indicating that he was taken to a hospital in Alakuko, Lagos, before being transferred to another medical facility in Ikeja for further treatment.

The Ogun State Police Command had said it could not immediately verify that the shooting occurred within its jurisdiction, while investigations were initiated.
