The Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL Plc) has trained 50 youths on greenhouse farming and agribusiness administration.
The recent training is part of NIRSAL Plc’s Controlled Environment Agriculture in Urban and Peri-Urban Settings (CEA-UPS), a youth-focused pilot project.
Making the disclosure through its official Facebook page, the non-bank financial institution stated that through the CEA-UPS participants have been structured into NIRSAL Agro Geo-Cooperatives (AGC) and trained.
The farmers will receive single-digit interest rate take-off loans from Sterling Bank Plc to produce fresh fruits and vegetables, persecondnews.com gathered.
