4 warning signs of type 2 diabetes

129

Type 2 diabetes is a disease that is dangerous and potentially life-threatening. Many people are shocked when they discover that they have Type 2 Diabetes, but the truth is, it has several warning signs. These symptoms may appear harmless but should not be ignored. Getting diagnosed early will help you keep your diabetes under control. This, in turn, will keep you healthier for much longer. Here are 3 signs of Type 2 Diabetes that you should be on the lookout for:

1, Frequent urination– is a warning sign of Type 2 Diabetes. You need to use the bathroom more often because there is an excess of sugar in your blood and your kidneys are being bathed in sugar. Your kidneys react to the sugar by filtering out more water from the blood which is stored in the bladder and then excreted as urine. Eliminating this extra glucose puts pressure on the kidneys and if left untreated, can lead to kidney failure over the years.

2,INCREASED THIRST – If you feel thirsty all the time and keep drinking water, chances are you might have Type 2 Diabetes. Dehydration is caused by the brain. The brain needs a constant supply of glucose but if the bloodstream has excess sugar, then the brain will draw out water to dilute the glucose. This decreases the amount of water in the blood, making you feel thirsty and dry-mouthed. This, in turn, will give the urge to keep drinking and many people drink soft drinks and juices in an effort to stay hydrated. However, this actually makes things worse as these drinks are full of sugar. Constant drinking will also make you use the toilet more often, which is another symptom of diabetes.

3, CONSTANT FATIGUE– If you’re always feeling tired and exhausted, then your blood sugar may be the culprit. When the energy from your meals can’t get into your cells, your cells can’t make energy and you are exhausted most of the time. When the sugar from your food can’t enter your cells, you won’t get the energy boost that makes you feel full and satisfied after a meal.

4, BLURRY VISION – Lots of sugar in the bloodstream will make your body fluid from any source possible, just to dilute all that glucose. Sometimes, this includes taking fluid from the lenses of your eyes. This will make it harder for you to focus on things and will greatly reduce your eyesight. Objects in your vision will appear blurry and you may find it hard to focus on things in the distance.
