Photo News: Maryam & Yakubu Skill Development Foundation Receives Community Impact Award

The Maryam & Yakubu Skill Development and Educational Foundation has received the ‘Community Impact Award’ at the Who’s Who Awards in Abuja.

The award is in recognition of the foundation’s tangible evidence of sustainable impact of their works to the community and deep commitment to partnering with others to address community issues.

The Award ceremony was held in Abuja and the founder Engineer Andrew Yakubu led the foundation’s board to receive the award.

Maryam & Yakubu Skill Development and Educational Foundation is a private initiative based in Kaduna and founded in 2013 by Engineer Andrew Yakubu, former Group Managing Director of the NNPC.  The center runs  vocational training programme where men, women and youths are taught skills.

Since inception, over 500 people have graduated from five skills areas including Information and Communication Technology, engineering, catering and event management, fashion and commercial agriculture.
