A suit seeking to block the extension or renewal of the national pipeline surveillance contract has been dismissed by Justice Bello Kawu of the FCT High Court.
The litigation, brought forward by the Peoples Wellbeing Association, aimed to disrupt the contract handled by Tantita Security Services—a firm first contracted under the Buhari administration.
In his ruling, Justice Kawu refused the claimant’s request for an immediate injunction but opted for an expedited hearing on March 21.
He further instructed the plaintiffs to ensure all legal papers are served to the remaining defendants in the case.
Listed as 1st and 6th defendants in the motion are the Attorney General of the Federation, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd, and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
Others are Tantita Security Services Nigeria Ltd; Pipeline Infrastructure Limited and Abokus Integrated Security Services Ltd.
