Popular Nigerian influencer Ashmusy has revealed that freezing her eggs is one of the best decisions she has ever made, saying the move was taken to secure her future as a mother.
She shared the announcement in a social media post that has since sparked widespread reactions online.
In the post, Ashmusy wrote: “This is by far one of the best decisions I have made because this will secure my future of being a mother, which is very important to me.”
The influencer explained that motherhood remains a major personal goal, and taking the step now gives her confidence about her future family plans.
She suggested the procedure offers reassurance while she focuses on other areas of life.
She also hinted that the decision gives her more freedom when it comes to relationships and life choices.
According to her, “Now I can calm down and choose right.”
Ashmusy disclosed that the entire process was carried out by a fertility and wellness clinic, which she praised for professionalism and quality service.
She described the experience as smooth and satisfying.
Speaking further, she said,
“I’m just so glad they exist,” while recommending the clinic to women who may be considering similar fertility options.
Her announcement quickly generated conversation online, with many followers commending her openness about a topic often considered private.
Others said the post helped raise awareness about fertility preservation.
Egg freezing, medically known as oocyte cryopreservation, involves collecting and preserving a woman’s eggs for possible future use.
It is increasingly being considered by women who wish to delay pregnancy for personal, career, or medical reasons.
Ashmusy also moved to clear up misconceptions surrounding the procedure. She wrote,
“Please note that my eggs from one cycle was frozen, not my organs.”
She added that the process does not prevent her from conceiving naturally in the present. “I can still conceive anytime, even right now,” she said.
Explaining why she chose to speak publicly, Ashmusy stated,: “I’m sharing this journey to sensitize people and help my fellow women that may need this.”
