President Bola Tinubu transitioned from official duties to Christmas and new year holiday break this weekend, arriving in Lagos after a whirlwind tour of Borno and Bauchi states.
In Borno, the President focused on governance and diplomacy, commissioning new infrastructure and attending a prominent wedding in the state capital.
He also paid a significant condolence visit to the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood in Bauchi following the death of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, marking the final official stop before his festive retreat.
He arrived in Lagos following the condolence visit, where he is expected to engage in several activities during the holiday period.
Among his engagements, Tinubu is scheduled to attend the Eyo Festival on December 27 as the guest of honour.
The festival, to be held at Tafawa Balewa Square, will celebrate prominent personalities, including the President’s late mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, as well as the late former Lagos State governors, Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.
