US Rep. Moore Slams China’s Christian Persecution, Warns Against Dictating to America

Congressman Riley Moore has sharply criticized China for opposing a potential U.S. military intervention in Nigeria, which he argues is needed to stop a “Christian genocide” ongoing since 2009.

Moore declared that the U.S. “will not be dictated to” by an “authoritarian country” that itself has a poor record of Christian persecution, including imprisoning its own Christian population.

Moore told Fox News: “China has been involved in Africa for a long time, they have been involved in extractive resources and materials and things like that. They have built some infrastructure here and there, trying to smoothen things over.

“They have been running a slave labour camp down in the Democratic Republic of Congo, extracting minerals there.’’

“US is not going to be lectured by an authoritarian country who has thrown Christians into prisons themselves and have also subjugated ethnic minorities in concentration camps.

“We are not going to have our foreign policy dictated to us by a communist country like China, it is not going to happen,’’ Persecondnews quotes Moore as saying in the monitored interview.

On why despite the world index of Christian persecution ranked Nigeria no. 1 and there is no attention drawn to the atrocities called genocide, Moore said: “it is a genocide. Our brothers and sisters in Christ are being murdered and murdered for their profession of faith in our Lord and Saviour Jesus.

“The main stream media has turned the other way, pretending that it is not happening. Clearly, the Biden administration did not take it seriously.

“There is skepticism in the media, they are questioning all that is happening and all that. The number, the least number of killings is 50,000 and there are reports that hundreds of thousands of Christians have been murdered since 2009.’’

Moore said after several months of pushing on the redesignation of Nigeria as “Country of Particular Concern’’, he was happy to see it done.

“I’m happy to see this designation on religious violations, very proud President Trump asked me to lead this and report back to him. The designation is to leverage government of Nigeria to do the right thing and for sanctions for individuals and organizations spending development dollars and other financial assistance.’’

Shedding more light on why President Trump redesignated Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern, Moore said:“Also, US has provided billions of dollars, military equipment, security assistance and training for Nigeria over the years to try to stop these atrocities from happening, killing our brothers and sisters in Christ in Nigeria.

“They haven’t done that and that is why the President is so upset.’’
