Love not on the cards for me now – Tonto Dikeh

2.4k

Nollywood actress and activist Tonto Dikeh says she is no longer prioritizing romance.

The mother of one is instead focusing her energy on building influence, achieving financial stability, and creating a lasting legacy.

In a recent reflection shared on Instagram, the actress admitted that her journey through healing has reshaped her outlook on life.

According to her, healing made her more private, growth made her selective, and peace made her unbothered.

According to Tonto, the shift is not born out of anger but out of clarity.

Having endured heartbreaks that played out under the unforgiving glare of the public, she has decided to invest her energy into pursuits that offer her both fulfillment and control.

Her love life has often been a source of headlines, from her marriage to Olakunle Churchill to her controversial breakup with Prince Kpokpogri.

Each relationship ended in public drama, leaving her to pick up the pieces while critics dissected her every move.

Those experiences, she suggests, taught her the value of keeping love off the table for now.

Instead, her sights are firmly set on what she describes as “bigger things” she described as power, money, and influence.

In her words, love may be beautiful, but it is not a priority at this stage of her life.

Her bid for political office in Rivers State, where she ran as a deputy governorship candidate, was a clear sign of her ambition.

Though she did not win, the attempt alone earned her admiration for daring to challenge the norms of celebrity life.

Beyond politics, she has also committed herself to humanitarian work through the Tonto Dikeh Foundation.

Her initiatives have supported single mothers, sponsored children’s education, and created awareness around domestic violence, showing her passion for causes that outlive fleeting trends.

Fans online have reacted warmly to her latest outlook with many praising her for speaking openly about choosing self-empowerment over societal pressure to find love.

“She’s walking her talk after all she’s endured, she deserves to focus on herself,” one supporter wrote.
