APR of Rwanda has secured a spot in the championship’s last eight after dismissing La Loi of Congo DR with a 3-1 victory.
Persecondnews reports that the match saw APR dominate from the start, winning the first set 25-18 with strong hitting.
They continued their impressive form in the second set, showcasing good structured play and defense to win 25-13.
However, La Loi launched a zealous comeback in the third set, dominating throughout and forcing APR to make substitutions and take timeouts.
APR managed to close the gap, but ultimately lost the set 25-22.
Despite this setback, APR regrouped and came back stronger in the fourth set.
Knowing what was at stake, the Rwandans forced their way to victory, dismissing any possible comeback from La Loi.
They won the fourth set 25-17, securing their spot in the last eight.
