Pasuma, Taye Currency End Longstanding Feud During Mecca Pilgrimage, excites fans

960

In a welcome development for Fuji music enthusiasts, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma and Taye Akande Adebisi, also known as Taye Currency, have put their differences aside and reconciled after a prolonged period of estrangement, marking a new era of peace and unity in the Fuji music scene.

The long-standing rift between the two Fuji stars came to an end during their pilgrimage to Mecca, where they were captured in a heartfelt moment embracing and putting their differences aside while performing Umrah.

The estrangement between Pasuma and Taye Currency became public last year when Currency expressed frustration over his perceived lack of respect within the Fuji community due to his loyalty to Pasuma.

In a widely circulated video obtained by Persecondnews, Currency accused Pasuma of borrowing his early musical style from Fuji icon Obesere.

He further stated that his unwavering allegiance to Pasuma was diminishing his own brand, emphasizing that the Fuji legend was not old enough to be considered his father.

Pasuma, who had long been seen as Currency’s mentor, did not take the remarks lightly.

He publicly expressed disappointment in Currency’s statements, interpreting them as a sign of ingratitude.

Their once-close relationship quickly deteriorated, leading to a visible rift within the Fuji industry.

Their disagreement became more pronounced during their milestone celebrations in December 2024.

When Taye Currency marked his 50th birthday, Pasuma was notably absent, fueling speculations that the rift had deepened.

The following day, Pasuma celebrated his “40 Years on Stage” anniversary, and in what seemed like a reciprocal snub, Currency was also missing from the event.

The absence of both musicians at each other’s landmark celebrations made it clear to fans that their conflict was unresolved.

However, the intervention of Fuji veterans, including Killington Ayinla and K1 De Ultimate, played a crucial role in mending the rift.

In a later performance, Currency publicly apologized to Pasuma, acknowledging the fallout and expressing regret over his remarks. Pasuma, in turn, accepted the apology, signaling the end of the feud.

Despite the resolution, the two had not been seen together until their recent meeting in Mecca.

In a video circulating online, Pasuma and Currency were spotted in a hotel room, warmly embracing and sharing lighthearted moments.

Their reconciliation in the Holy Land has sparked excitement among their fans, who are eager to see the duo collaborate once again.
