Just in: NLC president, Ajaero, released on bail

The Department of State Services (DSS) has granted administrative bail to the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero.

Persecondnews gathered that the labor leader was released on Monday night.

Ajaero was arrested on Monday, September 9 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja en route to London for a Trade Union Congress conference.

NLC had issued a midnight deadline on Monday to the Federal Government to unconditionally release Ajaero.

It fixed a National Executive Council (NEC) meeting for today, Tuesday, 9 a.m. to take appropriate response if Ajaero was not released.
