The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Doma United, was involved in a ghastly road accident on Monday.

Persecondnews reports that the Gombe-based side had an accident along the Makurdi-Lafia Expressway on Monday morning, with no fatalities recorded.

Several players are currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.

The Savannah Tigers lost their match-day 35 encounter 3-1 to 10-man Heartland FC of Owerri.

According to sources, the team’s bus was returning to base from Owerri to Gombe when it lost control and somersaulted several times.

Doma United, one of the few privately owned clubs in the league, are battling to retain their league status next season, as they are currently 18th on the log with 43 points.
