VP Shettima presides over 4th NEC meeting at State House

The meeting, the fourth since the inception of the Bola Tinubu administration and the last in 2023, is being attended by the governors of the 36 states.

The 4th National Economic Council (NEC) meeting is currently underway at the State House, Abuja, with Vice-President Kashim Shettima presiding as Chairman.

The meeting, the fourth since the inception of the Bola Tinubu administration and the last in 2023, is being attended by the governors of the 36 states.

Other members of the Council are ministers of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Finance as well as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Group Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) and others.

All the governors except those of Akwa Ibom, Kano, Lagos, Enugu, Osun, Borno, Nasarawa, and Adamawa States who are represented by their deputies, attended the meeting.
