Patients and inmates at the National Hospital, Abuja, have expressed anger and disgust over lack of water supply and poor sanitary condition of the facility.

They lamented that for close to 24 hours the situation has persisted, reports Persecondnews.

This has made patients and relatives unable to take their baths, and also left the bathrooms, toilets and wards in deplorable state.

Persecondnews exclusively gathered that relatives of admitted patients went outside the facility to get water as the hospital made no alternative provision for water.

A parent of one of the patients in the hospital, who spoke exclusively to Persecondnews anonymously, said: “Since 4 pm yesterday till now, there is no water for patients to bath and flush the toilet. The whole place is in a mess.

He said the hospital cleaners left without cleaning in the morning when they realized there was no water to wash the bathrooms, toilets and the wards.
