Wizkid’s hard work pushes me harder to give my best—Davido

Music star, David Adeleke, famously known as Davido, has described Wizkid’s unrelenting music drive as an impetus that fuels his passion to keep giving his best as a musician.

Davido, who is currently on tour of the U.S., opened up about the existing competition between him and Wizkid, saying Wizkid’s work rate pushes him and other artistes in the music industry to look up and work harder.

Davido, who said this while paying tribute to Mrs Balogun, Wizkid’s mother, who passed away some days back, described her as the strongest pillar in Wizkid’s life.

In his words: “I want to send my condolences to Wizkid over the loss of his mother. I feel for him at this moment and I am sending love and light his way.

“He’s one person who gives me a lot of energy to never stop pushing. I mean the competition is strong and he makes some of us to sit tight and go even harder.”

Persecondnews recalls that BurnaBoy had during his show also sent love and light to Wizkid following the death of his mother.

Music giants across Africa, fans and colleagues of Wizkid have also sent condolences to the Grammy Award winner.
