President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday forwarded the second and final batch of 11 ministerial nominees to the Senate for screening and confirmation.

Mr Femi Gbajabiamila, the President’s Chief of Staff, took the list to the upper legislative chamber and handed it over to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.

Persecondnews reports that the Senate had invoked its Order 12(i) to allow the former Speaker of the House of Representatives to enter the chamber at 3.15 pm to present the list.

Before Gbajabiamila sauntered into the chamber, a ministerial nominee, Mr Lateef Fagbemi from Kwara was being screened by the Senators.

Tinubu had last week sent 28 nominees to the Senate for screening while it on Monday screened 14 of the 28 names.

On Wednesday according to the Order Paper, five nominees were listed for screening. They are Dele Alake (Ekiti), Muhammad Idris (Niger), Prof. Ali Pate (Bauchi), Doris Anite Uzoka (Imo) and Lateef Fagbemi, SAN (Kwara).
