Breaking: Fire wreaks havoc at Nigerian Air Force Base, Abuja

Early morning fire on Wednesday destroyed some buildings within the prescient of the Nigerian Air Force Base on the Airport Road, Abuja.

Persecondnews reports that the fire became a spectacle to passersby including motorists as they watch the buildings at the military base beside the Nigerian Correctional Service headquarters go up in flames.

However, the cause of the fire has yet to be ascertained.

Fire fighters from the Federal Fire Service have been deployed to the scene to contain the flame.

Commenting on the incident, the Head of Operations of the Fire Service, Mr Amiola Adebayo, said:“The fire gutted part of the NAF Base, and our men are here putting out the fire, and we are working hard to completely quench the fire.

“However, I can’t confirm the cause of the fire outbreak yet, but we will put out a statement once our findings are concluded.”
