Hours after they were released from the custody of the Department of State Service, Pastor Tomi Arayomi, the founder of the RIG Nation and Pioneer Church in UK and his wife, Tahmar, have yet to retrieve their phones from the secret police.
However, the pastor’s personal assistant, Emmanuel Ezerika, is still being held by the DSS.
Persecondnews had broken the story on Friday morning when Arayomi, his wife and Emmanuel were arrested by DSS operatives at the Abuja airport.
The cleric’s twin brother, Tobi Arayomi, also disclosed on his Instagram page @tobiarayomi, that they were arrested over alleged politics-related prophecies he gave concerning Nigeria’s election.
Contacted for confirmation of their release, the DSS spokesman, Dr Peter Afunnaya, did not confirm or deny it but simply said: “Why don’t you call the Pastor, pls.”
However, a few minutes later, Tobi shared a photo of his brother and his wife on Instagram, revealing that they have been released.
He also revealed that his brother’s personal asssistant, simply identified as Emmanuel, is still in DSS detention.
Tobi stated, “@tomiarayomi and @tahmar.india are Out!!! Thank you all for prayers!!!! We continue to pray for his PA Emmanuel to be released.”
The trio had landed at the airport at 10.20am for a crusade in the Federal Capital Territory scheduled for 5.00pm today (April 7).
A flier of the programme titled, “The Cross”, shows that it is expected to hold at Wells Carlton Marquee, 8, Gado Nasko Street, Asokoro, Abuja at 5.00 pm.
Scheduled to minister are Apostle Tomi Arayomi, Prophetess Tahmar Arayomi and Prophetess Jennifer Pearse.
