In a shocking incident that has sent shock waves to Yoruba section of Nollywood, actor Azeez Ijaduade, was allegedly shot in the neck in the early hours of Sunday in Iperu in Ijebu area of Ogun State.

The incident has sparked growing anxiety and anger within the entertainment community.

Azeez, who is also the son of veteran filmmaker, Dimeji Ijaduade, was captured on a video obtained by Per Second News, lying on a hospital bed with a bloodied bandage on his head and neck.

The severity of the situation was evident as colleagues, including Jigan and Adeniyi Johnson, took to live Instagram video to share the distressing news with the public.

Sources indicate that Azeez was shot by a yet-to-be identified trigger-happy police officer.

The actor was swiftly rushed to the Babcock University Teaching Hospital at Ilisan, less than a kilometer from Iperu, where doctors are currently battling to save his life.

The obtained video portrayed police officers in uniform making calls, seemingly distraught by the action of their “unidentified” colleague.
