The Osun Election Petition Tribunal on Friday in Osogbo, Osun capital, sacked PDP’s Governor Ademola Adeleke.

It, therefore, ordered that the Certificate of Returns given to Sen. Ademola Adeleke should be withdrawn with immediate effect, Persecondnews reports.

Justice Tertsea Kume while reading the panel’s judgment, said the conduct of the June 2022 election was not in compliance with the Electoral Act.

Kume said the tribunal established that there was over voting in six polling units during the election.

He ruled that after the deduction of valid votes vast from the over-voting at these polling units, immediate past governor Adegboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC) polled 314,941 while the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Ademola Adeleke polled 290,266.
