Untamed terrorists have again “hunted the hunter” by attacking the convoy of the Assistant Inspector-General of Police for Zone 12 with the headquarters in Bauchi, AIG Audu Madaki, in a broad daylight on the expressway.

They injured the AIG and killed one of his police guards.

The AIG was on his way to Abuja from Bauchi when the terrorists ambushed and attacked him.

A source at the Zone 12 headquarters said:” AIG Audu Madaki was shot at and injured during the attack while his Orderly was shot dead.”

The Police chief is said to be receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital while security has been beefed up in the zone.

Meanwhile, armed policemen and intelligence personnel have been drafted  to comb the bush with a view to fishing out the terrorists.

The Police Public Relations Officer for the zone, DSP Thomas Goni, has yet to issue a statement on the incident.
