Osinbajo’s world-class declaration speech

775

In the digital age of technology and social media and metaverse, it makes perfect sense that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will make his declaration via the digital world. Not only would it garner massive mileage, but it would also reverberate across all traditional, digital and social media channels.

And it has indeed proved a massive hit. In under two hours, VP Osinbajo’s about 6 minutes declaration speech on Monday had garnered millions of views across his official social media channels and on other multimedia platforms where the declaration video or excerpts was shared. Not only that #OsinbajoDeclares continues to be the trending topic on Twitter and other Social media channels, just as it is being widely discussed on WhatsApp groups, and traditional radio and television stations.

It does not matter how any critic wants to spin Osinbajo’s video declaration to favour their preferred candidate, truth is that it was the most anticipated among ALL other candidates that have since declared whether for APC, PDP, or any other party for that matter. That the VP met with some APC governors on Sunday night was proof of the support he has been receiving across board.

VP’s declaration speech has been widely praised by Nigerians as a breath of fresh air from the President-in-waiting. It also shows the overwhelming support the Vice President enjoys nationwide and the uniform opinion among Nigerians that Osinbajo is the most qualified, as he has shown himself, in service and patriotism, most credible and worthy enough to become Nigeria’s next President in 2023, by God’s grace.
