Abuja-Kaduna train attacked by terrorists, lives of 970 passengers onboard at risk

Terrorists have launched an offensive on the Abuja-Kaduna train with about 970 passengers onboard.

According to a report, the terrorists detonated bombs on the track and immobilised it between Katari and Rijanan en route to Kaduna.

A passenger had sent text that the attackers surrounded the train, and started shooting sporadically.

Senator Shehu Sani, had twitted: Villagers around the area claimed the train is under attack.

“Villagers along Abuja-Kaduna road called to confirm hearing multiple gunshots and attack on the Abuja-Kaduna train by terrorists.”

The management of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has yet to comment on the development.
