Omicron variant: US set to impose stricter entry rules

Stricter Covid-19 testing rules for air travellers entering the US are being worked on amid concerns about a new Omicron variant, Persecondnews.com gathered from the U.S Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Tuesday.

The CDC said it is working to revise its Global Testing Order “for travel as we learn more about the Omicron variant, a revised order would shorten the timeline for required testing for all international air travellers to one day before departure to the U.S.
