Just in: Nigerian Senate okays 2021 N13.5trn Appropriation Bill

After an expeditious legislative work, the Nigerian Senate on Monday passed the 2021 Appropriation Bill of N13.5 trlllion.

The fiscal estimates are projected on oil benchmark of $40 per barrel, while N3.324 trillion is earmarked for debt servicing.

Capital expenditure got N4.1 trillion while N5.6 trillion is for recurrent profile and N496 billion is voted for statutory transfer.

The budget has an increment of N505 billion believed to have been added by the senators.

Persecondnews recalls that President Muhammadu Buhari had on October 8 presented N13.082 trillion to the National Assembly for consideration.
