Fazed by the worsening security situation in the country particularly in the Northeast, the House of Representatives has invited President Muhammadu Buhari to appear before it.
This followed a motion by a member representing Damboa/Chibok/Gwoza Federal Constituency in Borno, Alhaji Ahmad Jaha, at the plenary on Tuesday.
The motion for the amendment of the original prayers contained in the Order Paper for the day was seconded by Rep. Munnir Babba Dan-Agundi from Kano State.
The motion inviting the President is titled, “Invite Mr. President to come to the House and explain the security situation in the country.’’
Put into voice vote, the motion was unanimously supported by the lawmakers.
