The Media Officer of the Eyitayo Jegede campaign organisation, Mr Gbenga Akinmoyo, says the team is waiting on God for its next line of action on the outcome of October 10 state governorship election.
Persecondnews had reported that Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu was on Sunday announced the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Akeredolu won 15 out of 18 local governments, with Jegede winning the remaining three.
The PDP candidate, Mr Eyitayo Jegede (SAN) who also contested the election with the incumbent four years ago, lost again for the second time.
“This project is a project that God has ordained. As it is so, we wait. So we wait on God,” Akinmoyo reacted on behalf of Jegede.
The PDP candidate’s spokesman thanked the people for “voting for their conscience” during the polls and commended members for working hard for the party.
“For the benefit of the general public, we will like to thank all the Ondo State voters who went to the polls yesterday and voted for their conscience,” he said.
