Living up to his billing as the leader of the party, President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday led other leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) nationwide to the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting at the State House, Abuja.
Report said by noon, the Executive Council Chambers of the State House has been packed with the convener, Acting National Chairman of the party, Chief Victor Gaidom in attendance.
Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, APC Governors, National Assembly leaders as well as some national and state party executive committee members are among the attendees.

PerSecondnews recalls that Mr Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President, Media, had confirmed President Buhari’s attendance of the NEC meeting on Wednesday.
He said: “The law is on the side of Victor Gaidom as Acting National Chairman.”
Some aggrieved party members have criticized Buhari for accepting to attend, describing the meeting as “illegal”.

An outraged Tinubu, who is in league with the sacked National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, has described those behind Gaidom as powerful cabal and coup plotters.
