A commercial motorcyclist, Gbenga Oduola, who allegedly beheaded a boy under five years and also raped his mother has been apprehended by the Police in Oyo State.
The woman, whose name was given as 34-year-old Bosede Jimoh, had mounted Oduola’s motorcycle at Oja Oba in Igbo Ora in Ibarapa Local Government Area of the state.
The motorcyclist took Bosede and her son to his house on Lawal Estate, Imeleke Road, Igbo Ora, at about 8.00pm instead of taking them to their destination and had carnal knowledge of the woman three times before daybreak, report said.
It was leant that the following morning the motorcyclist took the woman’s son to another room and beheaded him with a cutlass.
He dumped the remains of the boy at a nearby bush and buried the head of the boy in his shop apparently for ritual purposes.
However, the remains were later recovered by the Police and deposited at a nearby mortuary.
The Police confirmed the incident which occurred on Sunday, December 8, 2019.
The State Police Commissioner, Mr Shina Olukolu, however, has paraded Oduola and 19 other suspects in Ibadan.
In another development, the command announced that it has recovered a total number of 2,866 units of ammunition and arrested 371 suspects so far in 2019.
The command also put the total number of firearms and vehicles recovered between January and December at 46 and 39 respectively.
It also seized 24 motorcycles during the period.
The CP also disclosed that his men arrested a member of an armed robbery gang, Sesan Amusan, and a female accomplice, Nofisat Alimi, who is ‘a syndicate armourer’ to the gang.
Two other suspects, Usman Umaru, 20, and Musa Jayum, 21, were arrested for conspiracy and attempt to kidnap one Abubakar Mohammadu in November.
It was learnt that the suspects had demanded a sum of N1m from Mohammadu, threatening to kidnap him if he failed to part with the money.
