The Presidency Sunday revealed that members of the calamitous Boko Haram terrorists who are ready to drop their arms and embrace peace will be granted amnesty.

“It is a win-win situation, said Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu said at the weekend

” It will save cost, lives lost to bombing, killing of service personnel and that money spent to procure weapons would be channeled into providing services, infrastructure and welfare of the citizens, he said.

“We are ready to rehabilitate and integrate such repentant members into the larger society.

“This country has suffered enough of hostility. Government is, therefore, appealing to all to embrace peace for the overall development of our people and the country.”
