EFCC boss Magu escapes death as gunmen invade residence, kill policeman

The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu escaped death by the whiskers as gunmen invaded his house last night.

It was learnt that the gunmen stormed the farmhouse in Karshi in the Federal Capital Territory at about 10pm and exchanged fire with the policemen on sentry.

A police Sergeant was hit and he died instantly.

“For us as a country, the fight against corruption is a ‘do or die’ affair; we have to win the battle or die trying, Magu said at an event on Monday.
