A high-level meeting of the National Council of State (NCS) is currently underway at the State House in Abuja, with President Bola Tinubu presiding.

This marks the second of such meeting since President Tinubu assumed office in May 2023.

Persecondnews reports that the meeting commenced at 1:30 pm, with former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar participating virtually, with Vice President Kashim Shettima serving as Vice Chairman in attendance.

The NCS plays a crucial advisory role in the nation’s governance, comprising the President, Vice President, former Presidents and Heads of State, Chief Justices, Senate President, House Speaker, state governors, and the Attorney-General of the Federation.
