Armed robbers invaded Nigerian singer Qdot’s Lagos residence early Sunday morning, holding him at gunpoint and carting away valuable electronics and personal effects.
The terrifying incident, which happened around 2:30 a.m., has left the artist severely shaken.
Reports confirm the assailants stole his mobile phones and laptops.
In a more devastating blow, the robbers reportedly gained access to his bank accounts, transferring all available funds before fleeing the scene.
Qdot is said to have been left helpless during the ordeal, while the intruders carried out their coordinated operation.
Sources close to the singer also confirmed to Persecondnews that the criminals successfully hacked into his social media accounts, further compounding the damage.
His management has now warned that fans and the general public should disregard any posts, messages, or financial solicitations originating from his handles until further notice.
“This is a very difficult time for Qdot,” one associate revealed.
“They practically stripped him of everything valuable within reach and even tampered with his online presence. People should be very careful not to fall victim to scams coming from his accounts.”
Security operatives have been notified of the incident, and investigations are already underway to track down the suspects.
Neighbours reportedly raised alarm after hearing unusual movements but were too afraid to intervene.
Fans of the singer have since taken to social media to express shock and solidarity.
Many prayed for his safety and urged authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Some also lamented the rising insecurity across the country, describing the attack as another sad reminder of the growing boldness of criminal gangs.
Qdot, known for his street-inspired hits and strong presence in the indigenous music scene, has yet to personally address the incident.
His team maintains that an official statement will be issued once he is stable enough to speak.
