NNPC Ltd Demonstrates Transparency in its April 2025 Monthly Report

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has released its April 2025 Monthly Report, showcasing the company’s operational and financial performance.

This move underscores NNPC Limited’s commitment to transparency and accountability.

The report highlights a crude oil and condensate production of 1.56 million barrels per day in April, showing a downward trend from 1.67 million barrels per day in January.

However, natural gas production increased to 7,473 million standard cubic feet per day, up from 7,120 million standard cubic feet per day recorded in February.

NNPCL also generated ₦5.89 trillion in revenue during the month, with a profit after tax of ₦748 billion.

The company’s statutory payments for the first quarter amounted to ₦4.225 trillion.

This financial performance reflects NNPCL’s strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.

The national oil company has made notable progress in strengthening infrastructure reliability, completing technical interventions on the AKK and OB3 projects to resolve challenges related to River Niger crossings.

The OB3 project is now 95% complete, while AKK has reached 70% completion. Upstream pipeline availability remained high at 97%.

Persecondnews reports that NNPCL is poised to drive growth through strategic investments, with four final investment decisions expected in the next six months.

These investments include the Ntokon Development project on OML 102, the Crude Oil Production Expansion Project on OML 29, Gas Development Projects on OML 30 and 42, and the Brass Fertiliser project, which is nearing financial close.

These projects are expected to boost Nigeria’s energy output, increase crude oil production, and enhance the country’s fertilizer production capacity.

Through the NNPC Foundation, the company has implemented various initiatives to give back to the community.

For instance, 531 National Youth Service Corps members received solar power starter packs under the NNPC/NYSC Business Empowerment Initiative.

Additionally, 83 ICT trainees and 170 creative industry talents were supported with business starter kits to foster innovation.

The company also conducted cataract surgeries for 2,005 individuals and rehabilitated three hospital wards at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi.

Furthermore, NNPCL commissioned STEM books and science libraries in Abuja and Lagos schools and trained 3,860 vulnerable farmers in modern, climate-smart agriculture across the Southeast and Southsouth regions.

By releasing its monthly report, NNPCL demonstrates its commitment to transparency and accountability, setting a new standard for the oil and gas industry in Nigeria.
