The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) and the Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals (DPRP) have affirmed their commitment to a more profound collaboration aimed at guaranteeing Nigeria’s energy security and promoting shared economic advancement for the Nigerian populace.

In a statement on Friday, the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd. Mr. Olufemi Soneye said the commitment was made during a courtesy visit by Mr. Aliko Dangote, President/Chief Executive of Dangote Group, to Mr. Bashir Ojulari, Group CEO of NNPC Ltd. at the NNPC Towers, on Thursday.

Dangote noted the importance of cooperation between the two organizations, saying, “There is no competition between us, we are not here to compete with NNPC Ltd. NNPC is part and parcel of our business and we are also part of NNPC.”

He expressed confidence in the NNPC management’s ability to tackle the challenges ahead, acknowledging the enormity of the responsibility ahead.

On his part, Ojulari assured Dangote of a mutually beneficial partnership anchored on healthy competition and productive collaboration.

He highlighted the exceptional caliber of talent within NNPC Ltd., describing the workforce as dedicated, highly skilled, and hardworking professionals.

Ojulari said the company’s readiness to build a legacy of national prosperity through innovation and shared purpose.
