Mohamed Salah has been voted as the Football Writers’ Association (FWA) Footballer of the Year, securing an incredible 90% of votes.

This impressive win marks the third time Salah has received the award, joining Thierry Henry as the only players to have won it three times.

Salah’s outstanding performances throughout the season have been instrumental to Liverpool’s success, helping the team claim their 20th English top-flight title.

He scored 33 goals and provided 23 assists across all competitions, including 28 goals in the Premier League.

“I’m thrilled to have won this award again,” Salah said, expressing his gratitude to the FWA. “It’s an honor to be recognized by such a prestigious organization.”

Salah’s Liverpool teammate Virgil van Dijk finished second in the voting, followed by Newcastle striker Alexander Isak and Arsenal’s Declan Rice.

The FWA’s recognition of Salah’s exceptional talent and contributions to the sport is a testament to his dedication and hard work.

This award adds to Salah’s illustrious career, which has seen him win 97 individual annual or monthly awards for club and country.

Recently, Salah signed a new two-year deal with Liverpool, keeping him at Anfield until 2027.

His commitment to the team and his impressive performances have cemented his legacy as one of the greatest players in Liverpool’s history.
