The All Progressives Congress (APC) has begun efforts to reconcile aggrieved members and strengthen party unity, according to National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje.

Speaking at the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja on Wednesday, Ganduje said: “We have embarked on a massive reconciliation of aggrieved party members, and this move is gradually yielding positive results for the party.”

Ganduje said high-level discussions among party leaders and stakeholders have been initiated to address lingering disagreements.

Persecondnews reports that this move is aimed at bringing back into the fold party members who had become disillusioned with the party’s internal politics.

In addition to reconciliation efforts, Ganduje announced a shift in the party’s strategy to boost grassroots participation.

“In fulfilment of our promise of taking the party to the grassroots, the national working committee introduced a new people-centred approach to campaign administration,” he said.

“This approach involves inaugurating campaign councils in the affected states, rather than in Abuja, to encourage greater involvement of local party members.”

The APC is convening its first NEC meeting since the last one in August 2023, marking a significant step towards revitalizing the party’s internal dynamics.
