Just a few days before the highly anticipated premiere of her latest movie, Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe is grappling with the devastating loss of her Lagos mansion to a fire incident.

The tragedy struck unexpectedly, leaving the actress heartbroken but grateful that no lives were lost in the incident.

Mercy, a beloved star in the Nigerian movie industry and a mother of two, took to social media to share a video revealing the aftermath of the fire.

In her post, she expressed her devastation, writing, “Devastated! Thank God no life was lost! It is well.”

The heartbreaking news prompted an outpouring of support from colleagues and fans alike.

Fellow actress Toyin Abraham commented, “Jesus. Olorun, no wonder you were crying on the phone. I’m so sorry, sis.” Actor Jamiu Azeez wrote, “Oh my God. Alhamdulilahi no life was lost,” while Nancy Isime added, “Oh no! So sorry big sis.”

Other celebrities, including Timini Egbuson, Liz Da Silva, and Funke Etti, expressed their condolences and prayers.

Timini wrote, “OMG! So sorry for this loss. We thank God regardless and pray for 100-fold replenishment,” while Liz Da Silva assured her, “Oh my God, it’s well darling. So sorry.”

This tragedy echoes similar losses experienced by other celebrities in recent months.

Actress Uche Ogbodo, for instance, lost two of her stores last month—one to a flood and the other to government demolition.

She shared her heartbreak, revealing how years of hard work and prayers disappeared overnight.

Similarly, Laura Ikeji endured a fire that destroyed her beauty store while she tended to her newborn.

Despite the setback, Laura maintained her faith, noting that material losses can be replaced.
