An alleged vote buyer, who was in possession of two “Ghana-must-go bags” believed to contain large sums of money, has been apprehended in Akure, the Ondo state capital, during the ongoing governorship poll.
The man was arrested at Ward 4, Polling Unit 007, near St. Stephen’s Primary School in Akure by the operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), Persecondnews reports.
In a video posted on Channels TV station’s X handle, DSS officers were seen as they forced the man to open the boot of his car where the two bags were hidden.
A cutlass was also found in the car’s trunk.
The yet-to-be-identified man has been whisked away in a bus belonging to the DSS while the office has yet to issue a statement on the incident.
