Why I refrained from talking about Davido. Wizkid beef—BurnaBoy

Addressing his decision to abstain from the feud, he expressed his desire to avoid becoming entangled in conflicts that do not directly concern him.

In the midst of the recent social media feud between two of Nigeria’s most prominent music icons, Davido and Wizkid, fellow superstar Burna Boy has explained why he abstained from taking sides or adding fuel to the fire.

Despite widespread anticipation for his perspective, BurnaBoy said he chose to maintain his silence, opting instead to focus on his personal journey and artistic endeavours.

The celebrated singer made headlines yesterday when he commemorated Mother’s Day by gifting both himself and his mother brand new Mercedes-Benz Maybach trucks.

However, amidst the buzz surrounding his lavish gesture, BurnaBoy remained tight-lipped regarding the ongoing clash between Davido and Wizkid, which has captured the attention of social media users worldwide.

Addressing his decision to abstain from the feud, he expressed his desire to avoid becoming entangled in conflicts that do not directly concern him.

In a statement attributed to him, he stressed his commitment to charting his own course and declined to engage in a war of words that could potentially overshadow his artistic vision.

“Everybody wants me to speak out; however, if I do, it may not yield the desired outcome. Be mindful of what you wish for. You may not fully comprehend.

“The Odogwu remains composed; he emphasized forging ahead on a distinct trajectory. Should I choose to speak now, it might provoke lamentations,” Burna Boy was quoted as saying.

Throughout his career, the Grammy award winner has carved out a unique niche within the music landscape, blending elements of afrobeat, reggae, and dancehall to create a sound that is distinctly his own.

As fans and followers eagerly await further developments in the ongoing saga between Davido and Wizkid, BurnaBoy’s decision to remain on the sidelines serves as a reminder of the importance of staying true to one’s own path amidst the noise of external distractions.
