Naira abuse: Bobrisky to spend six months in jail, court rules

Controversial social media personality, Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has been handed a six-month prison sentence without an option of a fine for his involvement in the abuse of the Nigerian currency, the naira.

Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court, Lagos, delivered the judgment on Friday.

In her judgment, Justice Awogboro said the judgment would serve as a deterrent to others who engage in similar acts of currency abuse and mutilation.
