Rivers’ Access Holdings CEO, Wigwe, wife, son’s remains interred at his private varsity tomb

Dr Herbert Wigwe, the late CEO of Access Holdings, along with his wife and son, had their remains interred in Rivers State on Saturday amid tears.

Persecondnews recalls that in February, a helicopter disaster in California, United States, claimed the lives of Wigwe, his wife, Doreen Chizoba, and their first son, Chizzy.

They were laid to rest in a private tomb within the prescints of his university — the Wigwe University he constructed in Isiokpo in the Ikwerre council area of Rivers State.

Following a funeral service, the deceased’s remains were transferred from the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Isiokpo to a private mausoleum, where they were buried on Saturday at approximately 2:45 p.m.

Among the dignitaries in attendance included Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, and Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State.

Others were former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal,Akwa Ibom Gov. Eno Umo, and his Bayelsa counterpart, Sen. Douye Diri.

Ex-Ekiti Governor Kayode Fayemi, Chief  James Ibori, a former Delta Governor, ex-Rivers Gov. Rotimi Amaechi and Segun Agbaje, the CEO of GTCO Holdings also made the list.
