Suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu, has reported at the office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Abuja over alleged N585 million diversion.

Edu arrived at the headquarters of the anti-graft agency on Tuesday morning to answer questions over the use of a private bank account for the ministry’s financial transaction for the federal government’s social welfare scheme.

Persecondnews recalls that on January 8, President Bola Tinubu had ordered the suspension of the minister in line with his avowed commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability in the management of the commonwealth of Nigerians.
